Celebrity of Another World
In what appeared to be a broadcast studio, a man and a woman were talking in front of a giant monitor, one of the largest on the market.
“What do you think?” the man asked.
“Well, what’s there to think? It’s obvious, you can’t deny it, no matter how many times you watch it,” the woman replied.
“Still… Considering her skill level is top-ranked.”
“No, again, a top-ranked player can’t just appear out of nowhere, right? If she’s that good, whether it’s in Arena Solitaire or private PVP, her name should have been known long ago.”
“Yeah, well, I’ve never heard of a Crescent Flail user with such a striking appearance and a weapon like that, either…”
One image on the monitor now.
It showed a silver-haired woman wielding a flail over and over again.
A video that had gone viral after someone uploaded it to Newtube, making it the talk of a large community.
At its simplest, it was one of the many, many videos of the game Another World.
As the game was currently the number one game in terms of market share, there were always videos about Another World in the top videos of the day or week.
So it was not something that would normally surprise them or create a lot of buzz.
However, for gamers who enjoyed playing Another World, the video had a certain appeal that made it hard to pass up.
So now, a video from one community was adding controversy to controversy in real-time.
The viral and controversial views continued to climb, and now, less than 10 hours after it was uploaded to Newtube, the video had over 2 million views.
It was by far the most popular video on Another World. And when something went viral, it naturally attracted celebrities.
Even streamers who did what was commonly referred to as internet broadcasting were all saying something about the controversial video.
Now, two people in Another World were more “real” than anyone else.
People who devoted half of their lives to Another World, who naturally became famous, and who eventually decided to become streamers as a career based on their fame.
They were Han-ah, a female streamer, and her biological brother, Jakjae.
“But isn’t the weapon called a crescent moon flail actually not that good?”
‘Hana’ gazed at a video that kept playing on one monitor due to repeated playback and commented.
“Hana, didn’t I give you the review after putting in 100 hours for the skilled work before?”
“That could just be because you have no talent, oppa.”
“…No, really, scratch it moderately?”
“Ah, sorry, sorry. But whether it’s a hack or not, it’s really pretty to move around like that with a crescent moon flail.”
‘Jakjae’ chuckled, finding it absurd as he observed his younger sister murmuring while fixated on the video.
It was a habit that Hana would display when she was engrossed in something, so he quickly envisioned his sister tinkering with the crescent moon flail.
“Ah, whatever! Today, I embark on the Crescent Moon Flail journey, everyone!!”
With a cheerful voice, he proclaimed, and he redirected his gaze to the monitor where he was gradually sitting.
The number of icons resembling people had already surpassed 20,000.
As he maneuvered the mouse cursor over the icon, the count of viewers became visible.
-25439 People.
It was overwhelming.
The highest number of viewers since they started broadcasting.
He wondered if he wasn’t the only one who saw it, but Hana was also holding back the corner of her mouth that was about to rise.
They paused in their conversation to see how the chat box reacted.
Even the firepower of the chat was more explosive than usual.
Dozens of chats per second from viewers.
[How is that not a hack, lol?]
[If you’ve never seen it in the top arena section. That doesn’t mean she can’t be a good player]
[I’m a tier master, and that’s definitely a hack.]
[I’m also a tier grandmaster, and that person is a hacker, yeah.]
[They’re bragging about their tiers in the chat, lol.]
[But why did she use a hack so blatantly when she’s fighting a notorious PKer?]
[Did she think she wouldn’t get caught? That individual saves all his in-game data to accuse others of hacking if he loses.]
[Did Another World even have hacks?]
[It does.]
[Couldn’t that be not a hack? Wouldn’t it be possible if you asked that individual ranked 8th to do it?]
[Isn’t Isrilda using various weapons?]
[You can’t even rank up with that, you loser, what are you, lol.]
[Maybe it’s possible for a ‘pro’?]
[They’re spitting out all the rankers they know, lol.]
“What’s with the chat window firepower? I usually hit like this.”
“Whoa. Guys, we’ve already banned more people today than we’ve talked to, and we’re already in double digits, so let’s keep it light in chat.”
“That’s right, guys. I’m sorry, I’m going to put a chat delay on right now because I’m experiencing broadcast lag.”
As the overheating chat window showed signs of slowing down, he systematically limited chat to once every 30 seconds.
It was a system he didn’t normally use, but he made an exception for today.
The response from viewers was overwhelming.
“Oppa, go back to your room and log in; I’ll also relax my body and then try to catch some crescent moon flail.”
“Huh, huh? Didn’t you say you were going to analyze each video?”
“You said it was a hack with your mouth, but what else are you going to analyze there?”
“Well, still.”
It’s been a while since the number of viewers exceeded 20,000.
Are you going to end this and start your own personal broadcasts?
As Jakjae gazed at his sister with that look, Hana smiled and touched his hand.
“Everyone, I really want to play Another World now.”
She’s still passionate about the game even though she’s broadcasting.
Jakjae thought that without realizing it. The broadcast was so popular, but they were going to focus on personal broadcasts.
He also felt quite addicted to Another World, but his enthusiasm had waned since he started broadcasting.
That’s because money was coming in directly, and seeing the viewers’ reactions made him feel like he was living in reality.
But his sister was still more genuine about the game than the broadcast.
As his sister waved her hands to chase him away, Jakjae finally stood up from his seat.
“Since my sister keeps kicking me out, I’ll stop talking about the video here. I’ll also start broadcasting right away, so you have to follow me, okay?”
Even if he fleeced the ants, he thought he should at least attract some influx, so he opened his mouth.
[No, don’t go]
[Why are you watching a male streamer, lol]
[For real, lol]
[I’m only going to watch Hana ggj]
[Dickhead kggj gggj]
“If you meet me in Another World, you’re all dead.”
Chuckling as he looked at the chat window, Jakjae growled and reluctantly moved his feet.
Hana, who pushed him away with her hand, quickly smiled and continued to talk as he left the room.
“Who wants to do the arena with me?”
Hana’s words implied fundraising.
“Wow, Bling-nim donated 60,000 won!! Thank you so much. If I log in to Another World today, I’ll get a partner. I saw the future! I’m serious!”
“What, what, 150,000 won!? Bling-nim, why are you suddenly donating so much!!”
The understanding among her viewers was clear – she would do arena with those who donated significant amounts.
[Ah, I want to be a female streamer too]
[If you’re annoyed, cut off your dick you will be female.]
[Shit, you can’t make it even if you cut, you still need to look pretty.]
[Isn’t a Hana still pretty?]
[She looks pretty today. Did she dress up a bit?]
[Why are the viewers so restless and impatient?]
In just about 10 minutes of donation time, Hana had already earned hundreds of thousands of won.
‘It feels good…?’
She wouldn’t have received this much support normally, but a suspicious video that seemed like a hack made the collaboration broadcast a big hit.
Broadcasting is all about aggro.
Hana smiled and opened her mouth.
